Things to consider before your session:

  1. Always plan to arrive 10 minutes early.  The start time of your appointment is when we want you on the massage table.  If you are late, your massage has started without you and will still end on time.  Please help us give you the full session you are paying for by being early.
  2. Your New Client Intake Form needs to be filled out at least 24 hours prior to your session.  If you have misplaced the original email which contained the link to your form you can click here for another.  Please complete and submit the form as soon as possible.  If the form is not completed prior to your session time must be taken from the scheduled session to complete the form before the session can begin.
  3. What to wear: You will undress to your comfort level for your session and you will be covered securely the whole time.  Only the area of the body being worked is uncovered.  We prefer not to work around or over clothing but will do so if needed.
  4. Tipping is optional but always appreciated.  We can always run a tip on your credit card if preferred.
  5. Cancellations:  All clients agree to give at least 24 hours notice for cancellations/rescheduling during the booking process.  Please verify the confirmation email you received after booking is accurate and the time you desired.  Please respond to the text/email sent 24 hours in advance to confirm your appointment or let us know immediately if you need to change or cancel.
  6. Methods of payment accepted:   Cash / Check / Credit Cards.  Returned checks result in a $25 fee and the credit card on file will be charged the original service fee plus $25.
  7. Medical Conditions:
    1. If you’re diagnosed with any of the following conditions, please discuss massage therapy with your medical team and provide a note from your provider.
      • Surface blood clots or a history of clotting issues
      • Cardiac disorders or disease
      • Previous major surgery on organs or an organ transplant
      • HIV Positive
    2. We do not recommend massage if you are current experiencing any of the following:
      • Active infectious or contagious disease
      • Fever, nausea, or diarrhea
      • Kidney and/or bladder disease or infection
      • Caner or undiagnosed lumps
      • Any active inflammatory disease affecting blood vessels
      • Diabetes – with active complications
    3. NOTE:  Please notify our office, or your massage therapist before your session if you develop any new health conditions or symptoms, no matter how minor.
  8. Cancellations/Rescheduling Policy:
    1. ***Please ensure you review the information below.  You will agree to the following when signing your client information form***
      1. I have reserved your appointment time JUST for you
      2. I require at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation/rescheduling.  Call me at 816-379-1705 anytime and leave a message.  I can also be contacted via email at
      3. If a true emergency presents itself that conflicts with your appointment, we ask that you notify us immediately through any medium necessary.  You can email us any time of day or night, or make a phone call and leave a voice message any time during normal working hours.  It is your responsibility to ensure you have received a reply from us to confirm cancellation before your missed appointment time.
        • Cancel/change your appointment with at least 24 hours notice: No charge
        • Cancel/change within 24 hours of your appointment time for any reason: 50% of the full session rate.  This fee can be avoided by sending someone in your place.  If we are able to fill the appointment there is no charge/fee.
        • Cancel/change your appointment within 2 hours:  Full charge, unless we can rebook the appointment slot.
        • No show, no notice:  If you simply do not show up for any reason with no notice we will charge your card on file for the session.
      4. If you have circumstances that you feel deserve special consideration please let us know as soon as possible so that a determination can be made on whether or not to make an exception to the policy.
  9. Prepaid Sessions:  All payments including prepaid packages, sessions, or gift certificates are non-refundable and always expire one year from purchase.  Any requests for refunds or extensions are issued at the sole discretion of KC North Massage.
